Memes on the controversial ABS-CBN closure apparently don’t amuse Kapamilya host Kim Atienza at all.
Understandbly so.
The Showtime host and TV Patrol weatherman caused a furor at the Vintage Car Philppines chat group when he abruptly left the group after someone posted the memes.
First posted was a meme combining the logos of ABS-CBN and GMA with the caption Kapuso ng bawat kapamilyang Pilipino. Followed by another which was a picture of the two stations’ noontime show hosts with Eat Showtime title in the background.
When someone commented “Ay walang natawa? masyadong seryoso tao dito a? followed by a peace emoji, Atienza dropped the bombshell.
“ok i’m leaving the group. You guys take care. don’t find this funny. thanks”
Atienza, a well-known owner and restorer of classic Land Rovers and motorcycle enthusiast, obviously was butt-hurt by the posts of his (now ex) chatmates. As of this posting, Atienza has yet to return to the chat group.
