New App and Mobile Service puts Chery on top

In these days of the COVID-19 pandemic scare, auto brands have to come to accept the fact that car owners are hesitant to travel short distances much more go around town unless it’s absolutely necessary. 

Comebacking brand Chery Auto, through its official distributor United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), recently announced that it has strengthened its after-sales service capability and reach with the Chery EC Mobile Service Program. The program allows its trained and official authorized mechanics fully equipped with specialized Chery tools and genuine parts to provide quality after sales service to its growing number of customers right at their own home. 

“In this time of distancing when staying home is the safest course of action, we want to make it easier and safer for our customers to have their Chery vehicles serviced,” said UAAGI president Rommel Sytin. “This is why we have embarked on a project to bring us closer to our customers with our new Chery EC Mobile Service.”

Chery vehicle owners can avail of regular preventive maintenance service (PMS) at the convenience of their homes or offices through the EC Mobile Program. The service comes with a fully equipped Gratour MPV with all the essential tools and parts. It all can perform minor and even major mechanical and electrical repairs and servicing. 

The service van has a one kilowatt inverter generator set used to power its tools, like drills, grinders and impact wrench. The van has two large capacity oil pans to avoid spilling of used oil which are then transferred to the built-in used oil depository tanks when performing PMS, a creeper for the technician to comfortably perform under chassis work, and a variety of essential and precision hand tools. The mobile service team can also service your air-conditioning system was well. 

“We believe that people needn’t be inconvenienced unnecessarily by having to bring their Chery vehicles to the shop for preventive maintenance work or repair,” added Sytin. “And this opens doors for our dealers as well to realize even greater business by freeing up workshop space at the dealerships themselves.”

The EC Mobile van is completely self-sufficient and has 220-volt outlets and spotlights so its mechanics can perform repairs even at night. This program is also ideal for fleet customers who can provide a workspace and service bay for its vehicles so there is no need to send their vehicles to the dealer’s after sales service center to have PMS or repairs, so the downtime is much lesser.

“For now, only select Chery dealerships are exclusively offering this new aftersales service, but the motoring public can expect that the EC Mobile Service will be available at the rest of our dealership network across the country soon,” added Sytin. 

Its EC (Easy and Convenient) Genuine Parts Program allows customers to inquire and accurately order parts for their Chery vehicles through its hotline number (CP number 0917-5924379), to ensure the authenticity and availability of the parts regardless whether the vehicle is within the warranty period or not.

For easy access and as part of the brand’s digital initiative, UAAGI also recently launched its Chery Auto PH App. The new app is available for download on the Google Play Store for Android smartphones, with an iOS version for iPhones to follow soon.

The app will act as the brand’s portal to a digital showroom where customers can check out Chery’s latest models and their specs, a directory of all Chery dealerships nationwide, and one can even request and schedule a test drive, book an appointment for car maintenance and repair, order spare parts, inquire about specific Chery models, and request for a quotation for a particular model. It also includes a rewards and loyalty program. 

All Chery models come with an industry-leading 10-year/1 million-km engine warranty, a 5-year general warranty, and a free full preventive maintenance service (PMS) for 3 years.
