MG launches new tagline and recommits to service excellence

Storied British automotive brand MG, aka Morris Garages, has seen success since its local debut under MG Philippines in October 2018.

MG has built-in brand recognition for car enthusiasts, as the octagonal badge has adorned sporty vehicles since the marque’s founding in Oxford, England in 1924. Its heritage lives on in the new lineup of MGs, each aspiring to excellent value and a measure of excitement behind the wheel.

With these values in mind, MG Philippines under The Covenant Car Company Inc. (TCCCI) has announced its new slogan and brand promise: “Expect Extraordinary.” The company says that to develop further its deep connection with its clients and target market, it seeks to deliver a delightful customer experience.

MG’s lineup of high value-for-money vehicles includes the MG ZS crossover, the MG 6 Fastback Sedan, the RX5 SUV, and the latest vehicle—the MG 5 sedan. At 4610mm long x 1788mm wide, the MG 5 has the largest footprint in its class. Its wheelbase is also the longest in class, helping to deliver a bigger passenger cabin. MG 5 is equipped with available leather-style seating and 10-inch touchscreen audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The MG ZS, MG RX5, MG 6 and MG 5 features 360-degree exterior camera view, panoramic moonroof, automatic LED headlights, traction control, and hill start assist.

As part of its commitment to delivering “Extraordinary,” MG is also beefing up its after sales services. After nearly two years, the MG Philippines dealer network now stands at 24 nationwide, helping to ensure that MG parts and services are widely available all over the Philippines. MG has also initiated online services such as MG Online Garage Service for live, online vehicle consultation with MG technicians; the My MG App for online service booking and parts reservations; and MG Live Chat Support for real-time consultation for inquiries about products, promos, vehicle warranty details, parts availability, and others about MG ownership and maintenance.

Official MG distributor TCCCI recently received the Five Star Distributor award, the highest recognition among all international MG distribitors at the recent 2020 MG Overseas Dealers and Distributors Conference held online in July 2020. TCCCI is the first overseas MG distributor to achieve Five Star status in only its first full year of operations.
