Lexus sales consultants can tour guests remotely around the cars

During this time of pandemic, the greatest luxury that we can ask for is being able to stay safe and healthy. And right now that means being able to stay at home, while still being productive, creative, and connected. That principle also applies to how we check out and buy cars nowadays. The virtual experience has become even more important, as consumers need to be able to visually and, as much as is possible without the use of a Holodeck, sensually kick the tires, so to speak.

Lexus Manila has recently launched its virtual showroom, dubbed the Lexus Remote Guest Experience. One of the succesful initiatives of the brand has been making a visit to its showroom at Bonifacio Global City a pleasurable experience, even before one starts to look at and sit in one of the cars on display. The Japanese garden-like balance and serenity communicates what kind of experience a Lexus seeks to impart to its drivers and passengers. With the pandemic rendering a visit to the showroom a potentially tense and temporarily inconvenient experience, Lexus Manila is allowing customers to visit the showroom virtually.

Lexus Remote Guest Experience allows customers to check out the cars inside and out with a sales consultant through a series 360-degree guided walkthroughs with a sales consultant. The consultant can allow them to virtually sit in the typically sumptuous Lexus interior and see the masterfully crafted details, examine the exterior bodywork, and even rev the cars’ engines (or not, if the Lexus is a hybrid).

The live salesperson can relate the philosphy behind each car’s design and engineering, giving the customer more insight and appreciation into each model. The experience even continues with a contactless purchase experience called Lexus Remote purchase.

The Lexus Remote Guest Experience will allow visitors to examine the NX, Lexus’ best-selling entry-level SUV, in NX 300, NX 300 F-Sport, and NX 300 Self-Charging Hybrid variants. F-Sport features a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with 6-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. The popular RX  SUV inlcludes a multimedia touchscreen audio with 15-speaker Mark Levinson sound system. The ES, Lexus’ most popular sedan, is powered by a 300-hp 3.5-liter V6 with 8-speed automatic transmission.

Of course, customers are still welcome to visit the Lexus Manila dealership. Safety precautions such as mandatory mask use, physical distancing guidelines, temperature checks, and thorough disinfection are in place. This is in the spirit of ‘Omotenashi’ or Japanese hospitality.
