Forget about the “double 20” that spells out all the travails and triumphs that this year has laid out on practically all industries and peoples. For The Covenant Car Company Inc (TCCCI), the exclusive carrier of the Chevrolet brand in the Philippines, the magic number is “11”.
Consider, it was in 1911 that Swiss-born Louis Chevrolet, a mechanic-turned-racer, co-founded the Chevrolet Motor Car Company with William C. Durant (General Motors founder). Since then, Chevrolet had rolled out such iconic models transcending American pop culture. Names like the Corvette, Camaro and other Chevy models had sold in the tens of millions, and etched themselves not just into American folklore, but in the dreams and aspirations of car enthusiasts all over the world, across the generations.
By 2007, it was estimated that one out of every 16 cars anywhere in the world carried the Chevy badge. Today, Chevrolet remains among the world’s largest and most recognizable car brands, doing business in more than 100 countries and selling more than 4 million cars and trucks a year, each vehicle boasting what the company describes as “fuel-efficient vehicles that feature engaging performance, design that makes the heart beat, passive and active safety features and easy-to-use technology, all at a value.’’
As fate would have it, “11” is also the number of years TCCCI has been successfully representing Chevrolet in the Philippines. It was on Oct. 1, 2009 that veteran car industry executives comprising TCCCI were appointed by General Motors Southeast Asia Operations to manage the full business operations for Chevrolet in the Philippines. The group behind TCCCI had been known for its strong aftersales service reputation, and it proved its expertise in that department when, in 2011, Chevrolet Philippines was named the leading brand for vehicle aftersales service by JD Power Asia Pacific.
Since then, TCCCI had grown the business to 22 dealerships strategically located across the country (including seven in Metro Manila), all offering the comprehensive line up of Chevrolet vehicles such as the legendary Suburban, Tahoe, Camaro, and Corvette, the powerful Colorado and Trailblazer, and the agile Trax Premier and Spark.

In an online celebration of its 11th year held on Oct. 20 with the motoring media, TCCCI promoted its vehicle ownership programs and customer service support features. The highlight of the celebration was its announcement that next year it would be boosting its product portfolio with the arrival of five all-new models, including an all-new Suburban and Tahoe, and C8 Corvette.
“We are immensely grateful for the continued confidence of the Filipino market in Chevrolet. It is their love for Chevy that drives us to constantly find new ways to deliver innovative and committed customer service, and bring global and iconic Chevrolet nameplates to Philippine roads,” said lawyer Alberto B. Arcilla, TCCCI president and CEO.
Easier at every life stage
TCCCI also explained in detail its vehicle ownership programs, providing the market with Chevrolet vehicles that meet them at every life stage. With the ongoing “Ride to A Fresh Start” promo, the bowtie brand makes it easier for customers to own and drive a Chevy.
All-in low down payment offers for as low as P38,000 or 0% interest plans are available for the Colorado, Trailblazer, Trax Premier, Spark, Sail, and Malibu.
Every brand new Chevy vehicle is also enrolled under the Complete Care program that promises owners committed aftersales service support—5-year warranty, access to the 24/7 Chevy Hotline, and automatic enrollment to the 24/7 Roadside Assistance.
In addition, customers get access to connected customer service programs, including the Chevrolet Service e-Advisor for a contactless, at-home initial vehicle diagnosis via video call, My Chevrolet Connect mobile app for practical management of vehicle service schedules, and Chevy Live Chat for quick and real-time customer support.
Online car buying simplified
While car buying remains to be a high-touch experience, there is an increasing demand for convenient and accessible ways of purchasing a vehicle online.
Currently, Chevrolet Philippines welcomes test drive requests and vehicle ownership inquiries through its website www.chevrolet.com.ph. This November, though, it’s launching the new Shop.Click.Drive. portal designed to simplify the process of purchasing a Chevrolet without leaving one’s home. With just three easy steps—“Shop”, “Click”, and “Drive”—customers can browse through available Chevy models and take delivery of their chosen ride.
“Chevrolet is a brand driven by great resolve and boundless optimism. While we continue to navigate through unprecedented market conditions, we are determined to strengthen our product portfolio and fuel the brand’s potential for renewed business growth in the local automotive scene,” said Arcilla.
The five new Chevrolet models TCCCI guaranteed would be introduced in the country in 2021 is seen to continue the marque’s 109-year legacy of rolling out global automotive icons.
The Suburban is considered the longest-running nameplate in the automotive industry and is the first-ever vehicle to receive an Award of Excellence Star at Hollywood & Highland. This legendary full-size SUV is getting fully redesigned to bring in exclusive technologies and confident driving dynamics.
The Tahoe combines functionality and versatility to become one of America’s favorite full-size SUVs. The all-new iteration promises generous cabin space, improved ride and handling, advanced technologies, and an unmatched driving experience.
The 8th Generation Corvette has been designed and engineered to exceed the previous model’s legendary status as it brings new levels of performance, technology, craftsmanship, and luxury.
