The start of the fourth quarter proved auspicious for Geely Philippines as it tops the country’s 5-seater subcompact crossover segment in October, data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (Campi) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) showed.
Geely sold 205 Coolray units last month alone.
This is the third time the Coolray bagged the bestseller title as it achieved the same feat last June when Geely sold 154 units, and then again in July when Geely sold 263 Coolrays, highest monthly sales so far.
“This proves that more and more people are taking notice of the value that Geely brings to its consumers. We are happy that with the good market reception in the past year, our efforts are paying off,” said Mikihisa Takayama, president and CEO of Soljitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP), Geely brand’s official distributor here.
“It has been a year since we took a chance on bringing the Geely brand in the Philippines. We are overwhelmed that everything continues to get better, even in the middle of a global crisis”, Takayama added.
In the past year, SGAP has been receiving a lot of positive feedback from satisfied Geely customers. Some owners have shared with SGAP, their fun Coolray journey from their purchase to their memorable experiences, fueling more interest for the brand.
Most of the owners said it was a “love at first sight” kind of story with the Coolray.
