Nissan recently unveiled a modestly face-lifted 2021 Terra VL SUV, featuring small cosmetic enhancements centered around replacing much of the chrome trim for a more sophisticated gloss black accents all around.
The front upper and lower radiator grills and inlets have received the black treatment, along with the front fog light housing, door handles, side mirror housings and roof rails. The wheels are the biggest visual change, also getting covered in gloss black. The only exterior trim piece that wasn’t blacked out was the rear tailgate piece which proudly bears the Terra moniker.
Inside, the interior remains mostly the same, but the seats now feature black leather with brown accents, and the chrome interior trim pieces inside have now been replaced with brushed metal accents.
The overall feel is that of sophisticated sportiness in a well-equipped package, appealing to a more youthful market, with Nissan seemingly following the playbook of many sportier and luxurious European marques.
The powertrain remains the same, with the impressive 2.5 liter CRDi turbocharged diesel engine producing 190ps and 450 Newton-Meters of torque. It is mated to the 7-speed automatic transmission driving either the rears or with available four-wheel drive.
The black trim might be a small change, but the overall visual impact gives it a subtle yet aggressive and confident stance in the sea of chrome-laden SUV’s in the market.
The expected SRP for the Nissan Terra 2.5 VL 4×4 is P2.211 million while that of the Aspen Pearl White Nissan Terra 2.5 VL 4×4 is P2.226 million.
