Legado Motors, Inc., the official distributor of GAC Motors in the Philippines, is adding yet another entry to the lineup of passenger vehicles in the country: the new GN6 7-seater MPV.
Legado gave the public a glimpse of the new van in a virtual launch recently.
Its frontend is what GAC calls the new flying dynamics design and is accentuated with wing-shaped daytime running lamps. The rear shows off a pair of LED taillights is complemented by an LED braking light strip, which is similar to its GN8 minivan. GAC’s new MPV comes in three colors – Pearl White, Elegant Black, and Peacock Blue.
At 1.86 meters wide and 4.78 meters long and 1.73 meters high, its dimensions give a very spacious cabin for seven adults. Moving in and out from the third row at the back is quite easy thanks to its 190mm wide second row corridor. The second row has two captain seats and can be adjusted frontwards or backwards to give more legroom to its rear passengers. The GN6 also has a 324-liter trunk space, that can be expanded to 1,100 liters by folding down the third-row seats.
Like its GM8 executive minivan sibling, the MPV looks and feels very premium, and cabin noise is practically eliminated thanks to a 360-degree Quiet Car technology that cancels the ambient noise within the environment. As one would expect from new and premium MPV’s, the GN6 also comes with a 7-inch instrument and 8-inch LCD infotainment display that are housed in a single panel for a clean and elegant look. It is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and a 6-speaker infotainment system. Its center console is equipped with cockpit controls for ease of access and undistracted driving.
The all-new GN6 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four Euro 5-compliant engine that is rated at 170 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque and is mated with an automatic transmission produced by Aisin Seiki, said to be the largest producer of automatic transmission engines in the world.
Safety features include dual front airbags, front side airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), traction control system (TCS), hill-ascend and descend controls, a rearview camera, parking sensors, electronic parking brake, three-point seatbelts with alarm, ISOFIX child seat anchors, brake hold assist, and engine immobilizer with anti-theft alarm. For better stability at high speeds, the GN6 is equipped with Bosch’s latest ESP 9.3 that corrects oversteering at sudden cornering and sudden lane change. It also has a 14-in-1 active safety system that provides uphill and downhill assistance.
It also comes with a remote keyless system and a remote keyless ignition system, remote window and sunroof controller. Its sensor lock feature activates when the driver or key holder is at least 3 meters away from the car, while the unlock sensor activates when the driver is at least 1-meter away from the vehicle.
The all-new GAC GN6 comes with an SRP of P1.48 million. It also comes with a 5-year warranty or 150,000 kms, whichever comes first. Visit your nearest GAC Motor PH dealership to know more about the all-new GN6, or visit https://gacmotorph.com to get the full information about GAC and the GN6.
Buyers of the GN6 can avail of a discount voucher worth P100,000 which can be deducted from the purchase. For as little as a P50,000 reservation fee this discount will be applied during the promo period to end on March 31.
