Honda PH says goodbye to the Jazz

Alvin Uy

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s automobile business unit in the Philippines officially announced today the discontinuation of its Jazz model.

The subcompact was introduced in the local market on July 2004 and quickly gained popularity with over 25,000 units sold over the years. Despite its footprint, the Jazz has a spacious cabin and peppy performance. Since its debut, two more generations were introduced, one in 2008 and followed by another one in 2014. The third generation Jazz received a facelift version in 2017 and it was the same year that the sportier RS variant was introduced.

“The Jazz has been a remarkable nameplate in the Philippine market for around 13 years. However, as we continue to put an emphasis on meeting market demands, we have thoroughly studied the necessity of the models in our current model lineup. After careful consideration, we would like to formally announce the discontinuation of Jazz and all its variants, in order for us to shift our focus and resources to our current and upcoming models.” said Mr. Masahiko Nakamura, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) president.
