Ahead of this week’s opening of the 19th Shanghai International Auto Show, Geely Automobile fired the first salvo by introducing the KX11, which it calls an “SUV Liberator”.
Geely officials said that the KX11 launch at the show also called Auto Shanghai will kick off a series of vehicle introductions that will be considered as disruptors to the automotive market due to massive improvements in technology.
The show running from April 19 to 28 is the region’s most important auto show, highlighting what is new and trending from the world’s biggest auto market.
Since SUVs and crossovers are the most popular choice for new urban car buyers, Geely’s introduction of its Coolray, Azkarra and Okvango is an indication of the brand’s growing foothold in the market. The Coolray is already a segment leader and they expect the other models to perform well also in the market.
What Sojitz G Auto Philippines, the local distributor of Geely, will call the KX11 when it brings the SUV here remains unknown.
The KX11 SUV uses the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) which is a mid-size unibody platform jointly developed by Volvo and Geely with its China Euro Vehicle Technology (CEVT) research and development program. In 2010, Volvo Cars was acquired and became a subsidiary of the giant Chinese automaker the acquisition has yielded much fruits in terms of better quality and better looking vehicles in recent years.

He also said that in the pursuit of technological advancement, the SUV Liberator KX11 is a luxury gift for users in the Geely Auto 4.0 Era, referring to the KX11’s premium product feel and positioning in the highly competitive SUV segment.

Jiayue sees that 5G high-speed mobile communication technology is a key factor in getting ahead in coming up with intelligent vehicles and to be able to compete with the big global players. He proudly announced that the KX11 is equipped with the strongest vehicle specification level Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, supporting 5G high-speed network, and one core driving multiple screens; a giant IMAX one-meter screen across the center console, a 25.6-inch AR-HUD head-up display and a 12.3-inch intelligent instrument screen, creating the intelligent cockpit with the largest screen-to-body ratio.
With the whole vehicle OTA online upgrade technology, it can keep connected to the network at any time like a mobile phone and update in real time, allowing users to enjoy a frequently used and always new evolutionary experience. In terms of autonomous driving, these vehicles can be equipped with 5G-AVP 1km unmanned parking technology, which enables real-time communication between the car, the car’s cloud system and the mobile component with the help of 5G technology, so that the vehicle can independently find a parking space to park and independently locate the owner, and with the help of safe autonomous driving.
