With the spunky Jazz subcompact hatch saying goodbye to many of its markets around the world—including the Philippines—Honda Motor Co. made sure those looking for a new sporty hatchback will still consider the Japanese auto brand.

Today, Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) has officially launched the All-New City Hatchback, an enticing option that is actually longer and wider than the outgoing Jazz.

While the All-New City Hatchback is a bit shorter than its sedan counterpart (4.349m vs the sedan’s 4.553m) both share the same width (1.748m) and wheelbase (2.6m).

The All-New City Hatchback is taller by 21mm, which means when it comes to space inside it offers way more capacity: from 289L (with all seats in upright position) to a roomy 841L of space when all second row seats are folded. The sedan version’s trunk space has a maximum capacity of 519L.

At the moment, the All-New City Hatchback is only available in RS CVT variant and has a price tag of P1.115 million.

Powered by a 1.5L in-line 4 cylinder DOHC i-VTEC engine, the All-New City Hatchback is already equipped with LED headlights with daytime running lights (DRL), LED Foglights with Sport Type Garnish, RS Design front bumper and High Gloss Black Front Grille with RS Badge, RS Design Rear Bumper with Diffuser as well as exclusive front-, side- and rear- under spoilers, door visor, cargo tray from Modulo Honda Custom Performance. Inside, its sport pedal, black trimmings and dark red leather and suede seats add to its sporty looks.

While the All-New City Hatchback looks real knockout in Ignite Red, buyers will also like the Meteoroid (dark) Gray Metallic, Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic, or Platinum White Pearl color options.
