CHERY Auto Philippines has decided to hold off any price hikes on all its crossovers given the Department of Trade and Industry’s imposition of provisional safeguard duties in the form of a cash bond amounting to P70,000/unit for imported passenger cars and P110,000/unit imported for light commercial vehicles.
“The ones who want a CHERY shall have a CHERY. Making the most of your money is as important as ever during these unstable financial times brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic so we decided to retain our vehicles’ pre-Safeguard Tariff price tags that best strike a balance between quality and price,” said CHERY Auto Philippines president Rommel Sytin.
This is the third time CHERY Auto PH extended its No Price Increase program despite most automakers deciding to just pass on the cash bond (a number decided to shoulder a fraction of the additional cost) to car buyers.
For reference, CHERY Auto PH’s the full-crossover line up with corresponding pre-Safeguard Tariff prices are as follows:
Tiggo 2 M/T, P695,000
Tiggo 2 A/T, P770,000
Tiggo 2 Two-Tone, P785,000
Tiggo 5x M/T, P818,000
Tiggo 5x A/T, P860,000
Tiggo 5x A/T Luxury, P970,000
All-New Tiggo 7 A/T Pro, P1.198 million
Tiggo 8 A/T Luxury, P1.28 million
Tiggo 8 A/T Luxury EX, P1.34 million
Since the CHERY brand was launched in 2019, the introductory SRP stood still except for the 2021 Tiggo 5x A/T Luxury variant, which carried upgrades including a new alloy wheel design, additional rear speakers, and rear air-conditioning vents.
Apart from the No Price Increase program, CHERY is also on a roll in bringing sales promos via low down payment, low monthly amortization, and exclusive cash discounts that apply to all Tiggo variants in CHERY dealerships nationwide.
In terms of aftersales services, CHERY Auto Philippines is known for its first-in-the-industry warranties that offer a 10-year or 1-million-kilometer engine warranty, 5-year or 150,000-kilometer general vehicle warranty, 3-year roadside assistance, and the most-loved of it all, the preventive maintenance service that’s all FREE for three years.
“We will continue to make the CHERY experience exceptional from pre-sale, actual purchase, service, and even customer relations. We are not stopping even during these challenging times,” noted Sytin.
CHERY Auto Philippines is under the management and distribution of United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. For inquiries, visit www.cheryauto.ph or download the CHERY Auto PH mobile app via Google Play (Android), App Galery (Huawei), and App Store (iOS).
