Ford Philippines is expanding its 4×4 pickup truck portfolio with the launch of the new Ranger Raptor X as well as a new Ranger Wildtrak 4×4 variant equipped with power roller shutter.
“The Ranger Raptor X leverages on the immense success of the Ranger Raptor in the market as we continue to boost our 4×4 truck lineup and reach a new group of performance pickup enthusiasts who are into aesthetic modifications,” said Michael Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines.
Launched in 2018, the Ranger Raptor further cemented Ford’s pickup truck line as a being one of the toughest, most versatile, and very capable rides in the market. The Raptor X is a limited-edition variant that is expected to turn heads with its unique design elements and exterior upgrades that give it a rugged, aggressive, and sporty look.
The Raptor X features striking over-the-top body stripes covering the bonnet, roof and tailgate with a “Carbon Twill Texture in Matte Black” framed with a Searing Red Keyline Graphic and side body stripe decal covering side doors and rear quarter panel. The grille, door handles, bumper cover, tailgate handle, fender vent, and fog light bezel have been given a matte black finish.
Conveying a tougher stance on the road and capable to tackle the harshest driving environments, the Raptor X is equipped with an extended leg sports bar, red front tow hooks, and matte black wheels with 33-inch BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires.
Body-contoured sport seats
Taking Ranger Raptor’s iconic Ford Performance interior further are body-contoured sport seats that now comes standard in the Raptor X with red stitching throughout the interior plus chrome accents on the AC vents for a more premium and adventure-ready look behind the wheel. Hydrographic and Black Alley accents across the dashboard round out the interior enhancements.
The Raptor X is powered by a 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine that is mated to a 10-speed transmission enabling is to generate a maximum 210hp and 500Nm of torque, perfect for on-road and challenging off-road drives.
It also comes with the cutting-edge Terrain Management System (TMS) offering six modes for various driving experiences including the Baja mode, as well as 2.5-inch FOX Racing shocks capable of delivering 30 percent more wheel travel compared to the standard Ranger variant.
The Raptor X comes in three striking colors that include Arctic White, Conquer Gray, and Performance Blue. Available at all Ford dealerships starting July it has a price tag of P2.038 million and there will only be 200 units to be sold throughout the year.
Greater protection and functionality
Ford Philippines has also announced the official availability of the new Ford Ranger Wildtrak 4×4 equipped with power roller shutter. A new feature, the power roller shutter is a segment-first original equipment manufactured product from Ford that offers greater security and functionality when transporting cargo.
“At Ford, we remain committed to designing products and services that are attuned to customer’s needs and lifestyles. With the power roller shutter, our customers can enjoy added protection, convenience and safety with a feature bearing the Ford quality DNA,” Breen explained.
Boasting of a sleeker and cleaner profile than most aftermarket offerings, the power roller shutter can be activated from inside the cabin through a switch on the dashboard—via a button in the tray or by using the key fob. It has also been designed with an anti-pinch feature to prevent injury or damage when contact is made with an object.
The Ranger Wildtrak 4×4 with power roller shutter is available at an introductory price of P1.728 million starting June 22 at all Ford dealerships nationwide.
