Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has rolled out a timely update of its best-selling Mirage G4 sedan. In these challenging times, personal mobility and value for money count more than ever. With these in mind, the Mirage G4 has upped its game to pack in more style and features for this car, officially the 2022 model.
The Mirage G4 has always stood for practical motoring with a fun bent. Now Mitsubishi has injected some style into the subcompact sedan. The front now features the brand’s Dynamic Shield design. The Mirage’s headlamps merge into the X-shaped grille and bumper unit that has already worked to great effect in larger vehicles such as the Montero Sport, Strada, Xpander, and Xpander Cross. Taillights and the rear bumper design have been updated as well.
Under the hood is still Mitsubishi’s 1.2-liter MIVEC engine with variable valve timing. It produces 78ps and 100Nm. The inline 3-cylinder engine is paired with a CVT dubbed INVECS-III. The transmission seeks to provide a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency. Also available on the GLX variant is a five-speed manual transmission.
Inside, the Mirage G4 GLS comes with comfort and convenience features such as keyless access, push start button, and automatic climate control. The three-spoke steering wheel includes remote audio and phone controls. The infotainment system uses a 7-inch touchscreen display with smart phone link. You can connect your smartphone via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A multi-information display shows trip computer information, service reminder, and outside temperature. The driver’s seat is adjustable for height.
Mitsubishi has made ABS and EBD brakes available on the Mirage G4, as well as dual SRS airbags and reinforced body structure as standard. To make mounting child seats easier, there are Isofix anchorage points. Auto-off headlights, and foglamps are available. The available rear camera includes parking guidelines to help in guiding the car into spaces.
Mirage G4 rides on MacPherson struts up front, and torsion beam at the rear. Wheels are 15-inch alloy units, with ventilated disc front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes. The Mirage’s compact footprint of 4305mm length x 1670mm width allows for a tight 4.8 meter turning radius.
To enhance the value-for-money proposition of the Mirage G4, MMPC is adding a free preventive maintenace service package (including free sanitation service) to buyers of the Mirage G4 from August 28 to November 30, 2021.
The new Mirage G4 will be available in Cool Silver Metallic, Red Metallic, Titanium Gray Metallic, and White Solid (per dealer firm order basis). Aero accessories such as front under grille garnish, and front, rear and side airdam.
The new Mirage G4 is priced at:
GLS CVT P899,000
GLX CVT P819,000
GLX MT P769,000
Mirage G4 has been a success for MMPC, selling more than 92,000 units since its launch in 2013. The company has produced more than 54,000 in the Philippines since 2017, supporting local industry and employment.
The new Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is now available in all 57 Mitsubishi Motors dealership nationwide. To know more about the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 visit www.mitsubishi-motors.ph or contact your preferred Mitsubishi Motors dealership.
