The new ZST by MG is the highest variant in MG Philippines’ ZS model lineup and, as such, it provides a turbocharged driving experience that is both sporty and classy. The ZST carries technology and convenience features found in more upscale models—solidifying its case for a great value for money option—but it likewise keeps its promise of a spirited drive.

Here are some of the standout features of the new ZST by MG:

Turbocharged engine

The new ZST has a new heart, and it’s turbocharged. The new 1.3 liter engine delivers 163ps and 230Nm; significant bumps of 42% and 53% from the naturally-aspirated engine. The transmission has been upgraded as well, to a 6-speed automatic with manual shift mode.

Exterior design

The MG ZST now boasts a sportier look. At the center is the Obsidian Matrix Grille, flanked by full LED projector headlamps. The daytime running lights are LED as well. The new MG ZST’s bumper has been resculpted to complement the blacked-out upper and lower grilles.

17” alloy wheels

Continuing the sporty theme are the MG ZST’s aluminum alloy wheels. Done in a design dubbed “Tomahawk,” the two-tone wheels appropriately fill out the Crossover SUV’s wheel wells. They enclose the car’s red brake calipers.
Panoramic sunroof and monogrammed headrest

Being outdoors has never been more enticing than in the last few months. The ZST allows an expansive outdoor view via its panoramic moonroof that spans nearly the entire length of the ceiling. With all that natural light, you can better appreciate touches like the monogrammed headrests with the distinctive MG logo.

Goggles virtual instrument cluster

The MG ZST’s cockpit features a fully-digital instrument cluster. Dubbed “Goggles,” the panel displays data like vehicle speed and tachometer, and digital tire pressure monitoring. Between the virtual gagues is a display screen that can show vehicle status and trip information.
10-inch HD Touchscreen

 Infotainment System

The virtual gauges are complemented by the 10-inch high-definition touchscreen at the center of the instrument panel. The screen allows intuitive control of the vehicle’s secondary functions as well as connectivity to one’s smartphone.

Premium materials

The MG ZST features soft-touch materials on almost all of the interior surfaces. Dashboard, steering wheel, door panels, and center console are all decked out. Red stitching on the seats and cabin trim lend a sporty touch.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Connectivity to one’s smartphone is a must, and the ZST obliges with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces. These can be controlled via the large touchscreen panel.
360-degree monitor and blind-spot monitor

When negotiating tight spaces, particularly when parking, there’s the 360-degree virtual vehicle view. On the move, the MG’s blind-spot information system helps watch out for vehicles that are normally hidden from view, alerting the driver of a possible obstacle.
