Changan showcased its future mobility lineup at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Changan is offering convenience and safety features once reserved for the premium and luxury class in its line of affordable sedans and SUVs.
Changan revealed the new CS35 Plus. The SUV features an obsidian-inspired front grille, split LED automatic headlamps and taillamps, 18-inch alloy wheels with square-wheel arch design and dual stainless-steel exhaust pipes. The CS35 has engine remote start feature, 10-inch multimedia touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity and promises a quieter cabin with its Deep Sea Silence technology. A panoramic sunroof and power tailgate are standard on the CS35 Plus. Safety features include autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, and panoramic camera system.
The larger CS75 Plus carries 620 liters of cargo space expandable to 1450 with the rear seat folded. 12-inch touchscreen audio system, panoramic sunroof, and leather seats are among its comfort features. CS75 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired to a 6-speed automatic.
On the sedan sedan, Changan displayed the Alsvin subcompact. The Alsvin features a butterfly-wing front grille, projector headlamps, sunroof, and 7-inch touchscreen audio system. It carries active safety features such as electronic stability control, blind spot monitor, reverse camera, and hill-hold assist.
For something completely different, Changan is offering the all-electric Eado EV460. The electric car features a motor with 136ps and 245Nm. Range is 430km to 550km on a single charge, and the car is capable of quick charging from zero to 80 percent in less than an hour. The Eado EV460 was conceived under Changan’s US$15 billion initiative to produce new-energy vehicles.
