Foton unveils all-new Thunder 2.0 at MIAS 2022

Foton returns to the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) this April 7 to 10, 2022, with the all-new Thunder 2.0 pickup. The Thunder is proudly assembled at Foton’s world-class assembly plant at Clark, Pampanga. Thunder 2.0 is powered by a third-generation 2.0 diesel engine engineered and manufactured by Foton Motors. The turbodiesel generates 160hp and 390Nm, giving the Thunder a payload capacity of up to one ton.

The all-new Thunder 2.0 comes standard with rollbars, cargo hooks for easy cargo mounting, large tail lamps, LED fog lamps, and large sporty grille. The body uses high-strength steel for better safety.

The Thunder comes with premium features including dual-zone climate control, 10.25-inch floating touchscreen system, 8-inch digital instrument panel, premium leather interior, and six-way power driver seat. There’s an engine start-stop button and keyless entry. Electronic stability control and ABS complement the six airbags for safety.

Thunder comes with a 3-year / 100,000km, and the assurance of Foton EC parts program. The company stores large quantities of spare parts of many as 65,000 line items in its 4100 square-meter facility.

Foton revealed the all-new Thunder in a star-studded launch with rockstar Bamboo.
