MG Concourse at the auto show visually transforms into iconic locations
MG Philippines, aka the Covenant Car Company Inc., is showcasing its lineup of British-heritage SUVs and sedans at its high-tech space at the Manila International Auto Show. Dubbed “The MG Concourse @ MIAS 2022”, the MG space is meant to symbolize the convergence of cultures that the brand is known for. At regular intervals, the Concourse, via a special 3D-mapped “Spotlight Mode” can visually transform into iconic locations such as London’s Piccadilly Circus and Shanghai’s The Bund.
Taking the literal spotlight at the MG booth are its two latest vehicles: the 2022 MG HS SUV and upgraded MG 5 Core Plus sedan.
The MG HS features the brand’s Stardust Grille, 18-inch Diamond Cut alloy wheels, LED headlights with 9-Crystal Lighting with sequential turn lights. The HS is powered by a 1.5-liter inline-four cylinder turbocharged engine delivering 169ps and 250Nm of torque, mated to 7-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission. Active safety features such as blind spot detection and tire pressure monitoring system give more confidence on the road. The MG HS promises crisper steering and accelerator response when switched to Sport Mode.
Until April 30, 2022, the MG HS is available for an introductory cash price of P158,888 for the MG HS SUV Alpha variant, and P1,208,888 for the Trophy variant.
The SRP of each variant of the new MG HS is as follows:
MG HS Alpha 1.5T: Php 1,258,888.
MG HS Trophy 1.5T: Php 1,308,888.
The MG 5 gets a newly updated variant in the MG 5 Core Plus. The Core Plus adds highly-anticipated features such as a 10-inch color touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reversing camera, and two additional speakers. The MG 5 is propelled by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 112hp and 150Nm.
The MG 5 Core Plus retails for only Php 748,888.00. It is also available with the following promos:
