Peugeot is cooking up a delectable selection of French SUVs and MPVs at the 17th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), running from April 7 to 10, 2022 at the World Trade Center. Taking center stage is the all-new 2008 SUV.
The 2008 has a cheerful countenance with prominent grille and triple LED daytime running lights. The rear taillight cluster has LED “claw effect” lights appropriate for the lion-badged brand. 17-inch Black Onyx and Diamond Cut alloy wheels complement the high ground clearance of the SUV. The 2008 is powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine with 130hp. It’s paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with “quick shift” technology.
Active driver assist features include blind spot monitoring, and active safety brake that uses a bumper-mounted radar and windshield-mounted camera.
The 2008 SUV features Peugeot’s 3D i-Cockpit cluster. Rather than a flat instrument display, the digital panel projects information in staggered layers to show relevant information more clearly to the driver. A 10-inch touchscreen controls the multimedia functions. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on the 2008. The 2008 starts at P1,550,000.
Peugeot Philippines Brand Head Maricar Parco led the activities at the first launch at this year’s MIAS, which celebrates a return to an onsite format.
Other Peugeot vehicles that are on display at the MIAS stand include the larger 3008 and 5008 SUVs, and the up to 8-seat MPV Traveller Premium.
