Toyota Motor Philippines will be adding to its already expansive lineup of SUVs this April with the release of the all-new Veloz. Toyota’s new take on the subcompact SUV reportedly boasts dramatically improved design, and also takes comfort into consideration, making it the ideal choice for experiences with family and friends.
This makes Veloz the SUV counterpart to the newly-launched Avanza MPV, as the two vehicles share a platform. The Toyota Veloz launched elsewhere in the Asean region measures 4,475mm long x 1,750mm wide, with a long 2,750mm wheelbase. Suspension uses MacPherson struts up front and a torsion beam at the rear. Four-wheel disc brakes may be standard, with electric parking brake. Also, 16 and 17-inch alloy wheels will be offered.
The vehicle is a seven-seater with sofa mode for the rear seats. The instrument panel will be a 7” digital screen that can display trip meter and odometer information. Wireless charger and drop-down video screen for the rear seats may be available.
Power comes from a 1.5-liter r-cylinder gasoline engine with an output of 106ps and 137Nm, paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or CVT. Safety features are expected to include vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, rear parking sensor and camera, and available 360-degree monitor.

Price for the All-New Veloz starts at P1.185 million. Authorized Toyota dealers across the country have started to accept reservations since April 23.
