Mitsubishi Strada Ralliart and Montero Sport Ralliart bring back the racing heritage

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) will be reintroducing the Ralliart brand at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). The Ralliart badge will be carried by two new vehicles, the New Strada Ralliart Edition and Montero Sport Ralliart Edition.

Seasoned car enthusiasts will know and remember Ralliart as Mitsubishi’s sport and racing sub-brand. Under Ralliart, Mitsubishi contested numerous races for many years. Ralliart was particularly successful in, true to its name, rally racing such as the World Rally Championship and the Paris-Dakar Rally.

The Ralliart brand is built on three key values or characteristics: high performance, toughness and durability, and high levels of comfort. An ideal combination of these three would allow Mitsubishi cars to triumph on the circuit. These attributes would then filter through to Mitsubishi’s road cars.

The Mitsubishi New Strada Ralliart Edition will be equipped with exclusive Ralliart components. These include Ralliart front bumper garnish, Ralliart rear bumper garnish, Ralliart mud flaps, Ralliart side decals, Ralliart bed liner, and Ralliart floor mats. The New Strada Ralliart Edition will be based on the Strada GLS and will be priced at P1.429 million.

The New Montero Sport Ralliart Ralliart Edition, meanwhile, is loaded with Ralliart parts. These include Ralliart front bumper garnish, Ralliart rear bumper garnish, Ralliart mud flaps, Ralliart side decals, Ralliart fender arc molding, and Ralliart floor mats. The New Montero Sport Ralliart Edition is priced at P2.122 million.

To bolster Ralliart’s presence at PIMS, MMPC will display the Strada Rally Car at its booth. The Strada Rally Car is Mitsubishi’s official entry to the 27th Asia Cross Control Rally, taking place November 21-26. The race will run from Buriram, Thailand to Siem Reap, Cambodia. The 2000-km cross-country rally will traverse some of the toughest terrain in Southeast Asia, and is thus dubbed as the toughest rally competition in Asia. Mitsubishi team Ralliart has been putting the Strada Rally Car through its paces in preparation for the rally. Stay tuned for more updates on the revival on the Ralliart brand.
