Last month, Ford Philippines rolled out its connected services platform, the kind of futuristic technology that people only used to see or imagine in books and in movies, truly matching the company’s tagline of “Driving Our Future Together.”
Coinciding with its 25th anniversary this year, the blue oval’s launch of the FordPass allows owners in the Philippines to access a whole host of vehicle-specific support services remotely, putting control literally in the palm of people’s hands.
The FordPass app can be downloaded for free at the Apple App Store and Google Play Store onto compatible mobile devices.
Creating a new account is easy and simple, requiring only some basic information, including a user’s first and last names, a mobile number, and a four-digit pin, among others.
People who own the next-generation Ford Ranger and Ford Everest can log-in using their username and password to use the same remote features.

These features range from remotely locking or unlocking doors, as well as the ability to remote start or stop your engine.
In a tropical country like the Philippines, the ability to remote start your vehicle to turn on the air-conditioner in advance to pre-cool your Ford vehicle is a huge creature comfort, especially during the hotter months of the year.
Other features in the FordPass include a fuel level check option, as well as vehicle status and vehicle location.
All these features are very useful for vehicle owners, but the real-time map that pinpoints your Ford’s location in huge, crowded parking lots is a really a welcome breather.

Being able to check your fuel levels and tire pressure means worry-free journeys for Ford owners, especially on long trips where maintenance comes as a secondary thought.
“FordPass will drive the future of the Ford ownership experience, and we’re very excited to finally be able to launch it in the Philippines to benefit our customers who are technologically-savvy and always on the go,” says Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines. “With FordPass, it’s like having a personal assistant for your Ford vehicle. We leverage on connectivity to offer our customers a smarter and simpler way of owning a Ford.”
