Mazda Philippines and the Manila Sports Car Club (MSCC) recently kicked off the 2023 season of the MSCC Miata Spec Series after a successful staging of its inaugural run last year.

In a press conference held at Karrera Showroom in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, the organizers said that, this year, 22 racers are expected to tussle it out on the track behind the wheel of track-tuned Mazda MX-5 open-top sports cars.

“We couldn’t wait to get going again this 2023,” Mazda Philippines president and CEO Steven Tan, shared.

“This one-make format provides a unique opportunity for MSCC members to polish their skills and enjoy the pure essence of driving that only an MX-5 can provide.”

2023 Mazda MX-5 Spec will see action on two race tracks this year: The Clark International Speedway and the Batangas Racing Circuit.
