Great Wall Motors previewed the Haval hybrid sport utility vehicle models, H6 and Jolion, to the local motoring media during a press conference today at the Bellevue Manila hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
The Haval H6, carrying a 1.76kWh lithium-ion battery pack, features a 1.5-liter turbocharged gas engine, mated to a two-speed transmission. It operates with the electric motor and a dedicated hybrid transmission, while sending the combined outputs to the front wheels. This churns out 110kW and 230N-m in petrol and 130kW/300N-m in electric, with a combined output producing 179kW and 530N-m.
It will be available in the local market in two variants, the premium and standard, with a full electric vehicle variant said to arrive on a later date.

Meanwhile, the Jolion HEV features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline single electric motor, likewise mated to a two-speed transmission, operating with the electric motor and a dedicated hybrid transmission; thus sending the combined outputs to the front wheels. It then produces 75kW and 125N-m of torque in petrol, 115kW and 250N-m in electric, together with 140kW and 375N-m in combined outputs.
It is offered in two variants, with the full electric version also coming later in the year.
