Jetour Auto Philippines excites the market with the price and spec announcement of its initial four-model offering. With availability starting this April, the Jetour X70 Sport, X70 Plus, QQ Ice Cream EV, and its latest flagship, the Dashing, will all be offered at competitive prices.
The 7-seater X70 is the brand’s entry-level contender and will have three variants:
X70 Journey – Php 1,099,000
X70 Travel – Php 1,259,000
X70 Sport – Php 1,299,000
Equipped with 18 to 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, an electronic rear tailgate, brown leather interiors, and an 8-speed automatic transmission, depending on the variant, the X70 series will be pitted against similarly priced 5-seater crossovers.
The X70 Plus is Jetour Auto Philippines’ second 7-seater nameplate. With a 6-speed wet Dual-clutch Transmission, 20-inch wheels, electronic parking brake, panoramic sunroof, electronic rear tailgate, brown interiors, and 6-way power seats, the X70 Plus is priced at Php 1,499,000.
With its straightforward SUV design and engineering, the X70 Plus will go against large MPVs such as the Geely Okavango and Toyota Innova.
As its initial introduction in the Battery Electric Vehicle space, Jetour Auto Philippines also introduces the QQ Ice Cream, a small urban EV with a 27 PS electric motor, 13.9 kWh battery pack, and 170-km range. It can charge from zero to full in 8 hours using a standard wall outlet charging connection.
Offering 2+2 seating with basic interiors, the QQ Ice Cream will initially have four colors – Strawberry, Matcha, Vanilla, and Blueberry and will start at Php 699,000.
The Jetour Dashing is the brand’s latest global crossover model, and JAP will likewise bring this to the country. The stylish and modern-looking 5-seater features six Hi-Fi Sony speakers with headrest audio, a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, wireless mobile charging, five USB ports, Intelligent Driver Assist System, sport seats, panoramic sunroof and Electronic Waist Support for the driver.
The Dashing will have an introductory price of Php 1,329,000.
All models in Jetour’s lineup will enjoy a six-year general vehicle warranty coverage with unlimited mileage.
Moreover, like Chery Auto Philippines’ initial salvo when it launched in the market, the engines of the X70, X70 Plus, and Dashing will have a 10-year engine warranty.
Jetour Auto Philippines management team is headed by its president Yves Licup, vice president Michael Goho, managing director Miguelito Jose, and marketing director May De Los Santos.
The new distributorship, formed with the partnership between the Autospeedygo and Gateway car dealership groups, is keen on challenging established brands with its strategic pricing, robust vehicle feature set, and intelligent offerings that the market has been looking for.
All models will be displayed at the Manila International Auto Show this coming April 13-16, 2023, and will be made available for sale to the public in the same month.
