ACDelco recently introduced the new DEXOS1 Gen3, 5W-30 motor oil at the Manila International Auto Show.
This new line is designed to work with the latest engine technologies. It can provide powertrains, such as: Turbochargers, direct injection and variable valve-timing with superb protection against engine wear, deposits and sludge, helping them extend their life span.
This motor oil is formulated to provide engine protection and fuel-efficiency while meeting the required emission standards.
And speaking of standards, DEXOS even upped the ante. Other than meeting the current American Petroleum Institute (API) and International Lubricants Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC), it further developed its technology through additional testing. Now, it can reduce piston deposits by up to 28 percent, improving fuel-efficiency by a notch compared to API and ILSAC requirements. Research even showed that DEXOS oil’s service life could reach up to 20,000 kilometers between oil changes.
