Refinements enhance the luxury SUV’s on-road and off-road performance, as well as daily driving comfort

Porsche recently presented its new Cayenne. It’s now packed with refinements to extend the brand’s highly successful luxury SUV’s on-road and off-road performance to a new level, promising enhanced levels of daily driving comfort, as well.

Porsche made a thorough overhaul of the third-generation of the Cayenne with comprehensive changes to the powertrain, chassis, design and equipment. According to Porsche, these changes made are one of the most extensive product upgrades in Porsche’s history.

New with the Cayenne is a highly digitized display and control concept, a new chassis technology, among other innovative features. The most notable advanced feature is the Porsche Driver Experience. This was first introduced in the Taycan, where frequently used controls are ergonomically placed on or beside the steering wheel, including the gear selector that is now on the dashboard. The new Cayenne also has a redesigned cockpit with a curved 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central Porsche Communication Management display, and a 10.9-inch screen on the passenger side.

Another innovative feature is Porsche’s InnoDrive that forms part of the adaptive cruise control. With revised suspension settings, the new Cayenne has a sharper feel and performance on pavement and off-road. The suspension settings also guarantee more differentiation per setting, in Normal, Sport and Sport Plus driving modes.

Outside, the new Cayenne sports a new front end with a set of new hood and a pair of Matrix LED headlights. These have high-definition modules and more than 32,000 pixels per headlamp. The brightness of the modules can be regulated in more than 1,000 steps, and customized light modes further increase safety in different driving situations. The metalwork is also evolved with more pronounced arched fenders, which emphasizes a wider footprint. At the back, it has a new pair of three-dimension tail lights and a new rear apron with integrated number plate holder. Porsche also added three new choices and an extensive range of new wheels.

Inside, Porsche introduced a new air quality system which uses predictive navigation data to determine when it would automatically activate air recirculation, while a sensor detects and filters fine dust particles. The latest Porsche Cayenne has a comprehensive range of new and optimized assistance systems, such as active speed limiter, swerve assist and cornering assist making sure it is the brand’s sportiest full-sized luxury SUV ever.
