Resort World Cruises celebrates 1st year anniversary

With 1.3 million guests and counting

Last year, I had the chance to sail on the maiden voyage of Resorts World Cruises on board the Genting Dream.

Fast-forward one year later, Asia’s homegrown international cruise line celebrates its first birthday with over 1.3 million passengers to date.

This month, with much fanfare and festivities of what it calls “Resorts Cruising at Sea”, the cruise company continues to make exciting sailing packages with special onboard offers and promotions.

Starting off with just one ship, the Genting Dream, Resorts World Cruises added Resorts World One to its growing fleet. With the headquarters in Singapore, Resorts World Cruises has further increased its presence across Asia, spanning citiies, such as: Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Taipei, Jakarta, Delhi NCR, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Manila, Seoul, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh.

Amazing entertainment onboard.

The first year anniversary celebration continues with a special cruise fare promotion for selected cruises. Twin sharing guests with bookings made from now until end of July for the Genting Dream and Resorts World One will enjoy attractive offers with the 2nd Person’s cruise fare for as low as $1.

“On behalf of the Resorts World Cruises family, we would like to thank everyone for their tremendous support, which has led us to achieve numerous milestones within a short span of the first year, expanding our fleet and presence across the region. It’s been truly an amazing and memorable journey and we are excited to celebrate our One Year Anniversary together, providing our guests with a myriad of special promotions and onboard festivities,” said Michael Goh, president of Resorts World Cruises.

“Moving ahead, we look forward to continue to be at the forefront in growing the cruise industry in Asia and to expand the brand’s reach and offerings that will make cruising accessible to more markets across the region,” he added.

It was also awarded with the ‘Muslim-friendly Cruise Line of the Year’ at the Halal in Travel Awards 2023.

It also announced that starting September 24th, Resorts World One will be cruising from Hong Kong to Sanya, Hainan. Sanya is a popular winter destination in China for Chinese and overseas tourists, known for its sunshine, beaches, sceneries, culture, food and duty-free shopping as key attractions. Hainan is the only Chinese province which can be visited by citizens from 59 countries without the need to apply for a Chinese visa including Filipino citizens. Entry will be handled by Resorts World Cruises with a visa-free arrangement with the Chinese government which will encourage international fly-cruise guests from these countries to sail on cruises to Sanya.
