A ‘Speedy Rabbit’s fast and remarkable journey
Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. and J&T Express recently celebrated their milestone for having achieved their 1,000th Foton unit for the latter’s logistics fleet here in the country. Locally, both have been partners since 2019. The celebration of their milestone was held at the Foton plant in Clark, Pampanga, which was attended by FMPI executives: chairman Rommel Sytin, general manager, Levy Santos and PH Global Jet Express, Inc. (J&T Express) executives: CEO Dean Ding and vice president Zoe Chi.

A ‘Speedy Rabbit’ was born
First founded in Indonesia in 2015, J&T Express, whose Chinese name means “speedy rabbit,” rapidly grew as an international delivery company with its core business in express service and logistics.
Because of its efficient and fast service, it eventually became known as a reliable logistics company spanning to a dozen more different countries, such as: Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, China, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Mexico, Brazil, Egypt, and the Philippines.
Today, J&T Express is considered one of the leaders in its field in the Southeast Asian region. While, here in the country, it has developed to become one of the best in the transport service business in just a short period of time.
“I remember attending their launching four years ago here and after just four years, J&T Express is one, if not, already the leader in the logistics business in the Philippines,” FMPI chairman, Sytin said in a speech during their milestone revelry. “And for this, we are proud to be part of this journey.”

Customer service that go with truck and van quality
In 2021, it was to be remembered that J&T Express has already purchased its 500th Foton unit. And just after two years, the numbers have already doubled.
“Customer service, reliability, flexibility, speed of service, and most importantly, the truck engine, and van body quality—these are the considerations of J&T in choosing a mobility partner for logistics operations,” said its vice president, Chi.
“We decided to choose Foton as our long-time partner in business since they have enough physical stores and service centers to conduct repair and maintenance for trucks which are allocated nationwide. They also provide an on-site service to the remote areas,” she continued.

For them, as a logistics company, it is important to forge partnership with a reputable manufacturer that provides quality units with latest advancement in technology and reliable 24/7 customer service support.
During that time, amid the threat of the global pandemic, it is important for them to rely on a strong partnership they started since 2019. Based on mutual trust and collaboration, the union of both companies aim to bridge the gap between various businesses and Filipino consumers.
A milestone partnership and beyond
Particularly, according to FMPI general manager, Santos, the units that were mostly purchased were the Harabas and Tornado models. Foton units comprise about 60 percent of the J&T Express’ total fleet lineup nationwide.
“This is a significant partnership between two giants. It reflects the strength of collaboration, the pursuit of excellence, and the commitment to serving our customers. With the utmost dedication together, we have overcome challenges and strengthen the foundations of logistics and transportation in our country,” he, meanwhile, stated.
“Foton commercial vehicles have always been synonymous with reliability, durability, and efficiency. We have played the vital role in facilitating the smooth movement of goods and services across the country,” he added.
Furthermore, for him, J&T Express, on the other hand, has been the driving force in the logistics industry.
“It has become a symbol of trust and reliability for countless businesses and consumers alike.”
He then concluded, “Let us celebrate this milestone with joy and pride for it symbolizes the limitless possibilities that lie ahead for our partnership and the bright future of the logistic industry.”
“Here’s to 1,000 and beyond!”
