Toyota Motor Philippines culminated the 2023 Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup season in dramatic fashion. Truly, it was a Final Leg held at the Clark International Speedway, Pampanga to remember as racers battled it out tooth and nail down to the wire.
The highlight of the last leg was the introduction of the TGR Vios Cup Grand Prix, a 1.5-hour Circuit Championship endurance race packed with adrenaline-pumping action.
Participated in by racers from the Promotional, Sporting and Super Sporting classes, the Circuit Championship first started with Races 7 and 8 before heading to the Grand Prix final showdown.
Paolo Ayo (Race 7) and Alain Alzona (Race 8) dominated the Promotional class, while in the Sporting class, Bern Corpino (Race 7) and Mikey Keilani Jordan (Race 8), were announced as winners.
John Dizon, on the other hand, took the top spot in the Super Sporting class in both races 7 and 8.
Racers for the Grand Prix, meantime, were a different breed as patience and grit proved to be deciding factors to cap the unprecedented coveted crown.
Here, Alain Alzona, Darrell Garbes and Royce Sarmiento outclassed other rivals in their respective Promotional, Sporting and Super Sporting classes.
Meanwhile, in the Autocross Challenge action, topping the Media Class were Patricia Tenorio (Promotional) and John Rey San Diego (Sporting). While the Influencer Classes were dominated by Ezra Domingo (Promotional) and Carla Lizardo (Sporting).
