Gogoro Philippines, the local subsidiary of the global technology leader in battery-swapping and smart two-wheel electric vehicles, has powered up new battery-swapping GoStations in Metro Manila, just in time for its commercial rollout.
Gogoro Philippines is closing 2023 with a total five GoStations in the following locations:
- Globe Tower, BGC, Taguig City
- Puregold Parañaque, 113 Ninoy Aquino Ave, Sto. Nino, Parañaque City
- Greenbelt 4 Makati – Gogoro Experience Center, Greenbelt 4, Makati City
- Puregold Makati, 35 Dr Jose P. Rizal Ave, Makati City
- Phoenix Gas Station, Shaw Blvd, San Antonio, Pasig City
Gogoro will open six more GoStations by Q1 of 2024: two each in Quezon City and Makati City, and one each in Marikina and Pasig City.
Gogoro GoStations are at the heart of the Gogoro’s electric vehicle ecosystem. GoStations serve as neighborhood pit stops for riders to conveniently swap out depleted batteries for new ones in seconds, a key differentiator in the two-wheel EV market.
GoStations are easy to deploy and use less space than a traditional car parking spot. The design allows a single location to serve hundreds of battery swaps per day without requiring a rider to wait, making the process of changing batteries significantly faster and more convenient than on-site plugin charging.
Battery-swapping is seen to accelerate the shift to smart electric two-wheel transportation as it eliminates the challenges of traditional plugin charging. Gogoro’s Cloud Service, GoStations and Smart Batteries enable a quick and easy refueling experience for riders and a safe, innovative, and scalable smart city network for cities.
This innovation also promotes the adoption of Gogoro Smartscooters, a significant step in mitigating the environmental impact of traditional petrol-based transport.

Bernie Llamzon, CEO of Gogoro Philippines, expressed his excitement about the development.
“Adding more GoStations means giving Filipinos more opportunities to choose clean and sustainable travel. It’s a big step in changing how we get around in our country for the better,” he said.
“The rollout of additional GoStations is a manifestation of our steadfast commitment to reshape the urban mobility landscape in the Philippines. Our collaboration with Gogoro and Ayala Corporation is designed not only to expand infrastructure but to catalyze a shift in transportation norms towards cleaner, more sustainable practices,” said Globe Group CEO Ernest Cu.
A collaboration of Globe’s 917Ventures Inc., Ayala Corporation, and Gogoro Taiwan, Gogoro Philippines opened the Gogoro Experience Center in Makati City in November, giving the Filipino public access to its Smartscooters®, battery-swapping technology, and other merchandise. It formally went to market in December, launching its Energy Plans for Filipino riders.
Gogoro has established success in Taiwan, servicing over 550,000 riders with more than 12,000 battery-swapping stations. It also operates in China, India, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Singapore and Israel.
