We were whisked away by GAC’s popular subcompact SUV

Excited media contingent at the Alabang dealership

In a short yet memorable drive, GAC Motor Philippines recently brought the media from its Alabang dealership to Tagaytay and back. We were then whisked away by none other than its renowned subcompact crossover, GAC GS3 Emzoom.

Company brand head, Franz Decloedt, was at the Alabang dealership to greet the participants on the morning of the drive and was elated to personally share with us the positive feedback the local motoring public have been giving them.

“We’re overwhelmed by the positive response from the local market. And we can say that the GAC GS3 Emzoom has established itself as one of the top contenders in the subcompact crossover market in the Philippines today,” he said.

“As much as 39 percent of our total sales have been coming from this vehicle.”

He further discussed that with cutting-edge technology, great eye-catching design and superior craftsmanship, the Emzoom is a great representation of the Chinese brand. The vehicle guarantees excellence, in a fun and versatile package fit for any lifestyle.

Moreover, its top-of-the-line R Style variant gets to have the lion’s share with 70 percent of its Emzoom sales coming from this.

“At just P1.198 million, you get so much value from it. You get a high-end subcompact SUV at a very affordable price. It has a compact sporty design, great infotainment system and can go from 0-100kph in just under 8 seconds,” he continued.

The Emzoom, Decloedt further explained, has superb interiors having leather seats, while complementing its remarkable exteriors are its Pilot Sport Michelin tires.

Under the vehicle’s hood is a potent 1.5 TG engine, paired with a 7-speed wet dual clutch transmission (7WDCT), producing 177 horsepower and 270N-m of torque.

Furthermore, the company puts emphasis on its four key strengths in the remarkable experiences it delivers to its customers: meticulous craftsmanship, top-notch product quality and services, innovative technology, and engineering excellence through a strong supply chain supported by renowned global brands.

Here, the participants experienced the vehicle in city driving and rough-terrain scenarios, wherein we traversed the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and the scenic CALAX (Cavite-Laguna Expressway) route, passing the Nuvali Boulevard and Canlubang, Laguna, just to name a few.

We capped the morning drive at the My Country House restaurant in Tagaytay, wherein a delectable lunch, including a buffet of savory gourmet cheese was served to satiate our palate.

After that sumptuous lunch, we proceeded to drive the vehicles, and after just over an hour, were already back in Alabang.

Overall, we were able to personally experience first-hand the dynamism the Emzoom had to offer, including its advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as: adaptive cruise control with integrated cruise assist, intelligent speed limit control and many others.

As take away, Decloedt mentioned in the morning before the drive, that they are committed to listening attentively to the feedback of their valued customers.

And addressing the media participants present, he added, “With your continued support, we are confident that the Emzoom will remain at the forefront of the automotive landscape, setting new benchmarks, and inspiring adventures for more customers.”
