Inchcape Philippines, distributor of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM Trucks in the Philippines, under its IC Automotive Inc. operations, launched Jeep Kamp 2024, which aims to reflect the rush of excitement of a freedom-filled overnight camping ride and drive with the Jeep line of vehicles.
The two-day event gave the participants a glimpse of the Jeep Life as they explored the great outdoors of Cavinti, Laguna, and rushed into the rugged and capable adventure that the brand is known for.
To officially kick-start the adventure, guests met up at CDJR Greenhills where assembly, briefing, and product presentations were conducted.
In her opening remarks, Inchcape Philippines’ Assistant Vice President for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram, Ms. Valerie Yu-Leong expressed her excitement for the overnight event, “The Jeep Kamp is our way of rediscovering the untamed spirit of adventure, of redefining what it means to be a freedom-loving Jeep enthusiast. It’s about unleashing the authentic wild side of our souls, and about igniting the flames of passion for off-road mastery.”
The three-hour drive from Greenhills, San Juan City to Cavinti, Laguna showed the diverse conditions of urban and provincial roads, proving how all the Jeep vehicles are up to trailblaze anytime and anywhere – may it be on daily city driving, or weekend off-road escapades.
Upon arrival at Kaliraya SurfKamp, attendees were ushered onto their own stylish and rugged tiny bunk houses, equipped with complete premium amenities for an elevated camping experience. They also had the option to go for the maximum camping experience by sleeping in the outdoor tents.
After lunch, a series of Camping 101 activities was prepared. Here, participants delved into the fundamentals of outdoor living, mastering the art of camp setup, fire-building, and culinary delights over charcoal-grilled barbecues.
During their free time, the campers also had the option to check out the water activities that Kaliraya SurfKamp has to offer such as: paddle boating, kayaking, and fishing.
As the night descended, the quintessential camping experience saw everyone enjoying a night under the stars. Outdoor fun roared up as participants kicked off their shoes and gathered around the campfire. With beers in hand, everyone happily exchanged stories, while being serenaded by a local acoustic duo.
The fun continued as the next morning participants got all muddy and dirty with the guided exploration of the Cavinti Underground River and Cave Complex, a safe eco-activity destination that is actively promoted by the local government of Cavinti. Located along the foothills of the Sierra Madre, they explored the underground wonders, and did some river-crossing and trekking activities through the forest covers. As cherry on top, they all basked in the relaxing and refreshing rustic views after all the walking and sliding on the muddied trails.
The two-day expedition ended with a sumptuous lunch of all Filipino dishes, then kicking up some dust again as they hit the road back to San Juan City, Metro Manila.
Overall, everyone was treated to what the Jeep brand is famous for. Driven by freedom, adventure, authenticity, and passion, the Jeep Life is all about living to the fullest.
