Arthur Tuason Memorial Esports Cup to be held

Tuason Racing, a pioneering name in Philippine motorsports, announces its grand relaunch of the Arthur Tuason Memorial Cup. This event will continue its spirit of honoring tradition while also championing innovation through its partnership with Monza Barcade. The E-motorsport event will coincide with Tuason Racing’s 25th year which resonates with our goals to celebrate all of the media, influencers, racing students, and other friends who have been a part of this long history.

Schedule of events

The event will have two sections, one for our media and key opinion leader supporters as they are coached through the basics of simulator racing before racing head-to-head. There will also be a special announcement by the CEO of Tuason Racing, Jeanette Tuason.

The media event will run from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm before opening the Monza venue to public challengers from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Many Tuason Racing alumni and race car drivers are also invited to attend, making it more exciting to win fun prizes.

The Arthur Tuason Memorial Cup

The competition will be a high-stakes simulator Grand Prix that brings motorsport enthusiasts, e-racers, and Tuason Racing Drivers together. This event showcases talent and gives people an opportunity to experience the world of racing. However, it is also a tribute to the late Arthur Tuason, a passionate figure in the world of racing, whose legacy lives on through every lap and every achievement in this field.

Grand Prix

The Grand Prix structure will also be focused on quick action that gives everyone who participates enough time to catch their breath, grab a drink or snack, and cheer their friends before they are thrust back into the fray.

The race will start with a practice or qualifying time trial wherein coaches from Tuason Racing will give advice while also taking note of the participants’ top times. Afterwards, they will be grouped into three ranks based on their fastest time, Pro, Intermediate and Novice. This will ensure fairness for the qualifying heat and a chance to further familiarize themselves with the simulator with others in their skill level.

Following this will be the qualifying heat as the three groups take turns racing for three laps to determine who moves on to the main race. By the time of the main race, participants will have had more experience and the fastest five racers in each class will race together. To make it more interesting, it will be a reverse grid with the Novice in the front and the Pro in the back.

For those who did not qualify for the main race, there will still be a secondary race in which participants can still earn prizes.
