Resorts World Cruises reintroduces two of its iconic cruise brands – StarCruises and Dream Cruises. With a legacy spanning over 30 years, this transition marks a new chapter in luxury and lifestyle cruising, catering to a diverse range of travelers.
Resorts World Cruises, launched in 2022 as a post-pandemic initiative, has welcomed nearly two million passengers. Now, the company is reverting to its roots, bringing back StarCruises and Dream Cruises to redefine the cruising experience. The transition will take place over three months, setting the stage for a dynamic future in Asian and global cruising.
The familiar Star Cruises brand has been refreshed as “StarCruises”, offering a modern, lifestyle-driven cruising experience. The fleet under this brand will include – “Star Navigator” (formerly called Resorts World One), which will join “Star Voyager” under the StarCruises banner. These are mid-sized ships accommodating around 2,000 passengers for an intimate experience. It promises affordable yet premium cruising, complemented by world-class dining, entertainment, and themed experiences. Its curated, short, port-intensive itineraries designed for both domestic and Fly-Cruise travelers.
Star Navigator will kick off its first voyage under the StarCruises banner with four 4-night sailings from Singapore to Krabi and Penang starting March 7th, 2025. It will then reposition to Keelung, Taiwan, for an exclusive eight-month operational period from March 28 to November 14, 2025. During this period, it will offer a diverse selection of 3, 4, and 6-day cruises to Japan and South Korea.
Highlights of Star Navigator’s itineraries include – Cherry Blossom Cruises (Spring 2025) where guests can witness Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms in breathtaking locations such as Kumamoto Castle, Mount Yoshino, and Tateyama Park. A complimentary Hanami Excursion with unlimited sake and snacks will allow guests to enjoy this traditional experience.
Another feature destination is the World Expo 2025 (Osaka via Wakayama) where guests can attend the once-in-five-years World Expo in Osaka, with additional stops in Kochi, known for its historic castle and vibrant Hirome Market.
For its South Korea Highlights, destinations include the scenic Jeju Island, famous for its volcanic landscapes and waterfalls, and Busan, home to lively markets and stunning coastal views.
The Fall Foliage Cruises (November 2025) will conclude its Taiwan season, where Star Navigator will take passengers on an autumn-themed voyage, showcasing Japan and Korea’s stunning fall colors.
The ship has also undergone significant renovations, enhancing entertainment, lighting, and onboard experiences. Exciting themed- parties such as the Foam and Rain Party and the Red Carpet Party will ensure a lively atmosphere at sea.
Dream Cruises, on the other hand, will continue to deliver sophisticated, world-class cruise experiences with its flagship Genting Dream that is homeported in Singapore year-round. With its 3,000-passenger capacity, it offers a refined onboard ambiance with top-tier dining, entertainment, and luxury services. Its Luxury Fly-Cruise itineraries to Malaysia and Thailand offer seamless travel experiences for modern explorers.
