Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong graced the occasion, extending a warm welcome to Suzuki’s presence in the city. Mayor Magalong is very optimistic that Suzuki would contribute significantly to the advancement of Baguio City’s transport sector. He believes that Baguio residents would benefit greatly from Suzuki’s compact vehicles, aligning with the city’s vision for sustainable and efficient urban mobility. “Because of the huge problem of traffic in the city of Baguio, we acknowledge that one of the major solutions is to encourage our residents to use compact cars, kaya tamang-tama naman na dumating itong Suzuki,”
Mayor Magalong commented.
Mayor Magalong also mentioned that upon seeing Suzuki’s latest offerings, he is hoping that Suzuki would allow the use of its hybrid models for public transportation. Adding that a critical component in Baguio City’s Smart Mobility project is the modernization of its public transport system.
During the event, Kenneth So, Corporate Secretary of Highfleet Motors, addressed the audience, emphasizing the impact of Suzuki’s compact vehicles in light of Baguio City’s Smart Mobility project. “With the implementation of Baguio City’s Smart Mobility project, we anticipate a shift in our market automobile preferences. He added, “Partnering with Suzuki is not just about providing vehicles; it’s offering a solution to a growing concern in our community.”
